Migration flight to breeding grounds

Return from Africa
Arrival of the first White Stork at Poachers cottage Malomirovo Strandja Bulgaria
An ancient folklore outlines how the storks found babies in marshes or caves, using their beaks to delivered them wrapped in white clothes to houses .
The tree hide is eye level to the breeding couple of White storks, here they will mate and bring up the young
The hide was constructed by Steve a very good friend who along with his partner run LovePawz Animal Rescue
The female will lay between one to three eggs, last year the couple hatched three young but sadly lost one to the cold and wet after the unusual storms for that time of year.
Over 70 % of the world’s White Stork population fly over Bulgaria spring and autumn migration.
This is the first season for the tree hide, built late February and still under going some refiner improvements
